About Events

ILSoyAdvisor hosts numerous events throughout the year, including the annual Soybean Summit and the regional Better Beans Series. These events bring key industry experts and local resources together to support growers in their efforts to hit higher yields, improve profitability and grow better beans.

Soybean Summit

Funded in part by the Illinois Soybean Association checkoff program, this one-day Summit provides a fantastic lineup of expert speakers sharing the latest agronomic tools and technology, along with actionable recommendations to boost your yields and improve your bottom line. And for Certified Crop Advisers, CEUs are offered for each breakout session. Looking for more information about the 2019 Soybean Summit? Please check back later to save the date.

Better Beans Series

These half-day events feature local CCA Soy Envoys, agronomists, industry experts and farmers sharing their insights on everything from weed management and fertility to best management practices (BMPs) to choosing varieties that best fit your farm. Each event features a local grower and expert panel with a Q&A session for attendee engagement. And presentations focus on improving profitability, achieving high yields and providing local solutions to the grower’s world of needs. Looking for the event nearest you? Resilient Farmer Roadshow

The Resilient Farmer Roadshow was a specialty event series offered in 2018. These events focused on the financial habits of successful farmers, cash flow management, grain marketing, crop insurance and making good agronomic decisions based on potential return on investment. The event is based on University of Illinois (UIUC) professor Gary Schnitkey’s research on the habits of financially resilient farmers and is designed to provide farmers with tangible takeaways.
