Over 280 growers, advisers and industry professionals gathered Feb. 4, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Illinois for a day of learning and growth. Bryce Knorr, senior analyst with Farm Futures, kicked the 2019 Soybean Summit off with a look at the 2018 and 2019 soybean market. Knorr noted that the historically high stock supply of soybeans, created by six years in a row of record harvests, will continue to lead to low soybean prices this year. Double-Crop Conference
The Double-Crop Conference, hosted by the Illinois Wheat Association and the Illinois Soybean Association, was held on January 31st, 2019, in Mount Vernon, Illinois, and had close to one hundred producers and crop advisers in attendance. The seven speakers provided information on wheat and soybean marketing and production, with the goal of increasing profitability for both crops during the 2019 growing season. ISA Names 2019 CCA Soybean Master Adviser
Kevin Nelson, Ottawa, Illinois, was honored as the 2019 CCA Soybean Master Adviser during the ILSoyAdvisor Soybean Summit, Tuesday, Feb. 5, in Springfield, Illinois.
